Na tuto studii mnohé navazuje Sapkowského osobité zpracování části artušovského mýtu v povídce Maladie. Výsledkem autorovy fascinace Carrolovou Alenkou v krajině divů (a kočkami) je povídka Zlaté odpoledne. A na závěr to asi nejlepší, povídka V kráteru po bombě, reflexe možného vývoje naší části Evropy po roce 1989.
