This publication marks the centenary of the alleged discovery of a hominid whose existence is largely doubted by academics. It belongs to the genre of speculative literature but leans more towards popular science, despite addressing a controversial phenomenon. The text is based on several original articles from the author's blog, which has been included in the Czech National Bibliography and archived as part of the WebArchiv project. The somewhat mysterious creature known as the yeti, bigfoot, or sasquatch is presented to readers in a different light than that portrayed by the media. The author also introduces readers to the newer approaches of some foreign scientists regarding this contentious topic.
