Meer over het boek

The World Volunteers Guide features nearly 200 organizations for individuals interested in international humanitarian projects, ranging from 2 weeks to over 2 years. It includes opportunities for students and those without professional experience, as well as projects for seasoned experts. The guide outlines various types of work and job durations based on age, experience, and availability. An extensive annotated list of online resources helps readers discover additional volunteer organizations. Two indexes facilitate the selection of organizations by geographical area and aid sector. Each organization entry includes a brief description, operating countries, required skills and languages, costs and benefits for volunteers, duration of service, and application procedures. Additionally, the Green Volunteers Guide presents over 200 global projects for those wishing to engage in active conservation work. These year-round projects, lasting from one week to over a year, cover wildlife research, rehabilitation centers, and conservation efforts in national parks. The guide includes three indexes for easy navigation based on geographical location, animal species, or project cost. Most projects are accessible to all, regardless of experience or language skills. Buyers of the Volunteers guide can also receive free updates online through a unique password included in each book.
