In the Italian theater of war in 1944, a group of escaped British prisoners of war and Italian partisans seize four trucks filled with gold, jewels, and documents during a raid. They hide the loot in a nearby mine, believed to contain Mussolini's lost treasure since the end of the war. Fourteen years later in South Africa, only two of the men involved in the incredible heist are still alive, while the others have seemingly been murdered. However, the treasure remains concealed in the old lead mine. How can a few fearless and determined men smuggle four tons of gold out of Italy? Their plan is as fantastic as it is simple.
