Vond's obsession with Zoyd's ex-wife, Frenesi Gates, complicates matters, as he aims to use Prairie against her mother, whom she barely remembers. Frenesi, recently laid off from her job as an FBI sting specialist, finds herself vulnerable. At the wedding, Prairie encounters someone who may help her uncover her mother's dark history and Vond's sinister intentions.
