Man at the Window

Set in 1960s Western Australia, the story follows a disillusioned detective who defies expectations when he investigates the shooting of a boarding master at an elite boys' school. Initially deemed accidental, the detective's instincts lead him to declare it a murder, putting him at odds with the powerful school community. As he uncovers dark secrets, he grapples with the moral implications of his pursuit of justice, questioning whether his actions are truly beneficial to those impacted by the crime. This is the inaugural installment in the Detective Cardilini series.
