The Blood of Heaven

Set against the backdrop of early 19th-century America, the story follows Angel Woolsack, a preacher's son who escapes his difficult upbringing. He partners with a charismatic highwayman and eventually joins his adopted brothers on the tumultuous frontier of West Florida. The narrative explores Angel's journey through the bordellos of Natchez, the wealth and suffering of Mississippi plantations, and the intrigue of New Orleans, where revolutionaries, including Aaron Burr, plot to reshape the nation.
