Set during the harrowing Blitz of 1940, the story follows twelve-year-old William Lumley and his family as they seek refuge in the Underground after being bombed out of their home. While navigating the dangers of subterranean life, including a gang of spivs and family tensions with his cousin Evie, Will encounters a sinister being that threatens the children. As he grapples with disbelief from others, Will must find a way to expose the lurking menace amidst the turmoil of war-torn London.
