Frank Mitchell one day noticed a peculiar advertisement in the newspaper seeking a bodyguard. He believed he was the perfect fit for the job and, despite his girlfriend Netty's warnings, accepted a position with Henry Sarek. Frank was convinced that Sarek, who was involved in shady dealings, would help him get rich. He was also immediately captivated by Sarek's wife, Rita. But why does this beautiful redhead live with a man who is so much older and unattractive? Is there a secret behind it? Frank soon discovered that Rita was patiently waiting for an opportunity to rid herself of her husband. There is an enticing possibility of acquiring a large quantity of diamonds, and so Frank pretends that he will collaborate with Rita in Sarek's murder.
