Investigating the murder of a manager from the Lausanne agency, detective Anastasia Kamenskaya uncovers a strange chain of hasty deaths among creative and scientific workers. She must confront a mysterious "office" that has its people in all law enforcement agencies. At the initiative of this "office," Kamenskaya is suspended from her job and an internal investigation is launched into her connections with a major mafia figure, Eduard Denisov.
