When Inspector Damen Brooke moves to Derby, he believes he can finally leave his troubled past behind: the years with his ex-wife, his rebellious daughter Tara, and his struggle with alcohol. Most importantly, he hopes to escape the unresolved series of murders that has long terrorized London. However, one winter evening, Brooke is called to the scene of a horrific crime, and he immediately realizes that the "Slasher" has followed him.
