The story follows young surgeon David Carroll, who uncovers that potential buyers of his medical practice may be Russian mobsters. His attempt to confront them leads to tragedy when they attack his home, resulting in the death of his wife and FBI protectors. Surviving the ordeal but severely injured, David becomes a prime suspect and must go on the run, navigating a dangerous world where he must clear his name and seek justice for his losses.
