The story centers on first-generation Filipino siblings, JJ and Althea, who grapple with their identities amidst cultural challenges at school. JJ seeks acceptance from peers while Althea embraces her uniqueness, but they face ridicule over their heritage, including their family's food truck and Filipino folklore. When mythical creatures from their parents' stories begin to threaten their family, the siblings must confront their cultural roots and find strength in their identities to protect those they love.
