Evil lurks at every turn. After devastating events at Prism Lake, Grady and the other survivors head south in hopes of finding safety in one of the fabled "Cities of Light." However, they soon discover that phantoms are not the only threat they must fear in the blizzard; there may be far worse dangers ahead. Joining Grady, Stone, Eleanor, Mikey, and Zvejka is Mia, a girl in advanced pregnancy who lost her partner in the storm. Together with their new friends, they embark on a journey to a city that promises shelter.
