Vepkhistkhaosani, an epic poem by the 12th-century Georgian writer, poet, and statesman Shota Rustaveli, is a masterful literary work of global significance. Written during the Golden Age of Georgia, when the country was ruled by the visionary Queen Tamar, the poem is infused with humanist ideals.
