Object oriented technology

This volume is the seventh edition of the ECOOP Workshop Reader, featuring reports from the 17th European Conference on Object-Oriented Programming (ECOOP 2003), which took place in Darmstadt, Germany, from July 21–25, 2003. The workshops occurred during the first two days of the conference, addressing a diverse array of innovative topics in object-oriented technology, fostering interaction and lively discussions among participants. Out of 24 submissions, 21 workshops were selected based on scientific merit, topical relevance, and potential for engagement, although one workshop was ultimately canceled. Special thanks are extended to the workshop organizers for documenting and summarizing the discussions, as well as to all participants for their presentations and contributions, which made this volume possible. Additionally, appreciation is expressed to the organizing committee members for their extensive efforts in coordinating the workshops. This collection aims to provide a stimulating snapshot of current object-oriented technology. ECOOP 2003 was organized by the Software Technology Group at Darmstadt University of Technology, under the auspices of AITO and in cooperation with ACM SIGPLAN. The main conference proceedings were published as LNCS 2743.
