The Simple Art of Killing a Woman

Set against the backdrop of Brazil's Amazon, the narrative explores the grim reality of femicide while highlighting the strength and resilience of women. A young lawyer, fleeing an abusive relationship, takes a job in Cruzeiro do Sul, where she encounters local prosecutor Carla and Marcos, an indigenous man. As she investigates the alarming violence against women, she confronts issues of racism, patriarchy, and environmental destruction. Through ayahuasca rituals, she connects with vengeful warrior spirits and uncovers truths about her mother's mysterious death.
