After Fitzhubert's forces devastate his village and kidnap two maids, Ardron is compelled to embark on a perilous mission to rescue them. As he confronts challenges and uncovers his own courage, Ardron finds himself increasingly entangled in the larger struggle between Empress Matilda and Stephen Blois, ultimately emerging as a key player in the conflict.
