Meer over het boek

Fafhrd, a red-haired barbarian from the frozen Northlands, wields the formidable sword Grijsstaf and is accompanied by the unruly wizard Ningauble with the Seven Eyes. His companion, the agile Grijze Muizer, clad in gray, carries both a rapier and a dagger named Katsklauw and Scalpel, and is sometimes assisted by the relentless magician Sheelba van het Oogloze Gezicht. In Lankhmar, the only civilized land in vast Remmin, they are known as rascals and rogues—drunken brawlers, thieves, and womanizers. Yet, they are also the most skilled fighters in Remmin, feared by all. It is no surprise that they face numerous terrifying challenges, repeatedly beset by dark forces, enchanting maidens, and vengeful gods as they embark on a harrowing quest across Remmin, pursued relentlessly by Death, who fulfills his grim duty with a scythe. The collection includes stories such as "The Sadness of the Executioner," "Beauty and the Beasts," "Trapped in the Shadowland," "The Bait," "Under the Thumbs of the Gods," "Trapped in the Sea of Stars," "The Frost Monstreme," and "Rime Isle," showcasing the duo’s thrilling adventures and encounters.
