Tamara K.E. (b. Tbilisi, Georgia; lives and works in Düsseldorf and New York) makes art that aims to create a world of pure subjectivity. Her works acknowledge the grand narratives and integrates experimental constructions of form, but only as elements in an infinite space of blithe play. Where the world appears as a sweeping kaleidoscopic flow, the quest for authenticity loses all meaning. Her obsessive language, in continual transition, addresses the dynamics of our cultural memories, floating over the art-historical baggage.
