The Kite and the Walnut Tree

A young girl tells her story about how she deals with loss over the passage of time. New experiences help her learn to let go. Eventually that loss is transformed into a source of comfort. This story is based on a real event. The kite is hanging in the walnut tree in my yard and inspired me to write this story for all children who have lost someone they love.
