1968: At the height of the Vietnam War, Marine Eugene Smith and local woman Quang Ha have found each other in the midst of the violence that surrounds them. They plan to leave the war behind, and begin a new life in America. But when a fellow Marine is brutally murdered on the eve of the Tet Offensive, Eugene and Ha's plans are gone forever.
