Contemporary artist Jessica Warboys has exhibited at Documenta, Whitechapel Art Gallery and the Centre Pompidou. She works across a wide range of media including performance, film, sculpture and painting. Often informed by personal or collective memories; historical, mythical or fictional, this publication explores the artist s use of symbolism, her vocabulary of forms and her approach to landscape. Warboys often combines her materials with a natural element, such as the sea or the sun. She often applies pigment directly onto large- scale canvases before submerging them into the sea to allow the waves to distribute the colour. 0Exhibition: Tate St, Ives, St. Ives, UK (21.05-02.10.2016).
