The Historical Novels of Mark Twain

Mark Twain's "The Prince and the Pauper" (1881) follows two identical boys, Tom Canty and Prince Edward, in 1547 London. "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" (1889) satirizes 6th-century England through Hank Morgan's time travel. "Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc" (1896) tells the saint's story from the perspective of her page, Sieur Louis de Conté.
