The life of Philip Edward Thomas, a Welsh-born poet and literary critic, is marked by his transition from a successful reviewer to a revered poet, encouraged by Robert Frost. Educated at Oxford, he married Helen Noble and began his literary career while mentoring fellow poet W. H. Davies.
