Set in the Hiute Wilderness of Colorado, the story follows Jasper Caine, a former banker, who is determined to retrieve his horse, Genevieve, after she abandons him for two Forest Rangers. Lacking the means to reclaim her directly due to his questionable ownership, Jasper teams up with an inept wannabe Mountain Man named Homer Funtzt. Their comical misadventures highlight their incompetence, leading to chaos that threatens to revert the wilderness to a bygone era.
