Focusing on the critical role of emotional-social intelligence (ESI) in project success, this study examines how interpersonal dynamics impact technology project outcomes. Highlighting the high failure rates attributed to team relationship breakdowns, it explores ESI competencies such as communication, motivation, and conflict resolution as key predictors of success. Data was gathered from 104 participants across agile and traditional software development teams at Hewlett-Packard, revealing insights into how fostering ESI can enhance team performance and project viability.
