The study investigates the accumulation of heavy metals in urban park soils, forest litter, and tree roots, highlighting the significant impact of urbanization on natural ecosystems. It focuses on the pollution caused by heavy metals like Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd, which can adversely affect plant physiology and human health. Using the Kuznetchov & Shimko method for sequential extraction, the research presents findings on the forms of these metals in urban soils, revealing that Pb and Cd are indicative of contamination, while Cu and Zn correlate with the soil's parent materials.
