Instead, they encounter an ancient evil unleashed by a cleric, leading to their transport back to U.S. military labs. As a result, a deadly plague of monstrous creatures known as rakes is unleashed, posing a catastrophic threat to the U.S. and potentially the entire world. The narrative blends military action with horror elements, exploring themes of ancient powers and survival against overwhelming odds.
