Focusing on the synoptic problem, this study argues that the Synoptic Gospels were authored in a direct literary progression from Mark to Luke to Matthew. It contends that these texts are a systematic reworking of the Pauline letters, challenging the existence of the 'Q source' as a construct of 19th-century scholarship. By asserting that the Gospels do not document the historical Jesus but rather reflect Christ's identity as revealed through Paul, the work suggests significant implications for Christian theology.
