Prof. Dr. med. Erwin-Josef Speckmann studied and worked as an assistant in Münster, achieving his Habilitation in 1969. He became a professor at the Physiological Institute in 1973 and served as dean from 1978 to 1981. In 1986, he took over the chair of physiology at the University of Münster and has been a lecturer at the Kunstakademie Münster. His research focuses on brain and epilepsy studies, and he has organized related congresses.
