Reprint of a late 1800s astonishingly detailed anthropological study of all forms of alternative sexuality - homosexuality, perversions, treatment of sexual inversion, hermaphrodites, eunuchs, male prostitutes and pederasts. A rather lurid interest in the topics pervades this allegedly scholarly work, and many anecdotes of questionable academic character are included. The author also wrote Untrodden Fields of Anthropology, a study of erotic customs of Australian, Asian, African, and Pacific Island native races.
