The aim of chronobiology is to quantify various biological phenomena which vary as a function of time. "Chronopharmacology" is concerned with the fact that the effect of therapeutic agents also varies as a function of time, in addition to varying with other parameters such as dose, and means of administration. This symposium brought together 80 leading workers in the field in order to discuss the many important applications of chronobiology to pharmacological studies
