Dragonsbane and Dragonshadow: Knight of the Demon Queen

Meer over het boek

New York Times bestselling author Barbara Hambly delivers a masterful sequel to her acclaimed Dragonshadow, weaving a dark fantasy that explores the depths of the human heart. Once the most powerful mage, Jenny Waynest is now a shattered woman, haunted by the demon Amayon's possession and the corruption it brought. Though she despises the memory, a part of her longs for his return, mourning the loss of her husband, Lord John Aversin, and the chance to be a mother to her mage-born son. Meanwhile, John grapples with his own demons, particularly the memory of Aohila, the cruel demon queen he deceived to save Jenny. Now facing execution for his dealings with demons, John struggles with guilt over Jenny's suffering and the greater evil he inadvertently unleashed. Aohila seeks vengeance and blackmails John into aiding her, with Amayon as his reluctant guide. As John navigates unimaginable horrors, Jenny, awakened by the stardrake Morkeleb the Black, embarks on her own perilous journey without the magic she once relied on. Both must confront their pasts and the lurking dangers that threaten their world, leading them on intertwined paths of sacrifice and redemption.
