Der Autor untersucht die innere Dynamik bei Heidegger, die eine Auseinandersetzung mit der Geschichte der Philosophie erfordert. Diese Dynamik wird in der hermeneutischen Konfrontation mit der traditionellen Ontologie erörtert. Im einleitenden Teil wird das zentrale Phänomen der Wahrheit behandelt, das als Grundbegriff der griechischen Philosophie gilt und dem Heidegger besondere Aufmerksamkeit widmet. Durch die Analyse des λόγος wird das aristotelische Seinsverständnis beleuchtet. Anschließend wird Heideggers Auseinandersetzung mit der aristotelischen Philosophie auf das Grundproblem der Bewegtheit übertragen, die als Diskrimen fungiert und die unterschiedlichen Grundstellungen von Heidegger und Aristoteles verdeutlicht. Der Autor zeigt, dass Heideggers Auseinandersetzung mit der traditionellen Ontologie zwei wesentliche Konsequenzen hat: erstens die radikale Dynamisierung des Seinsverständnisses im hermeneutischen Denken und zweitens eine grundlegende Konversion des traditionellen Seinsbegriffs in eine ihm fremde Dimension. Diese Dimension offenbart sich als die Endlichkeit des Menschen in seiner Beziehung zum Sein.
