Nadim Vardag Boeken

Annually, the winner of the BC21 Boston Consulting & Belvedere Contemporary Art Award is given an individual exhibition at the Augarten Contemporary, Vienna. The 2009 winner, Nadim Vardag, is an installation artist whose works are often geared towards cinema. He assembles film sequences of just a few seconds to create loops, whose minimal movements draw a line between apparatus and picture. In general, the complexity of film, apparatus, and effect of the projected pictures is a central motif for Vardag's installation objects.
