Nancy Atakan Boeken

Here the American-Turkish artist, Nancy Atakan investigates through the medium of photography the inner lives of a series of professional women who were born in the Ottoman period, who matured and worked in the Republic, and whom she believes should not be forgotten. This book presents a selection of Atakan's work, but concentrates on the second woman in this series, Azade, her late 1970s exercise therapist.
