Слова «Україна» й «Київ», які позначають важливі назви — нашої країни і столиці, — теж містять літеру Ї. Колись Ї навіть намагалися заборонити. Та вона вижила й оселилася в українській абетці. Litera „ji: jest wyjątkowa, nie istnieje w innych językach. Co się stanie, jeśli usuniemy go z tak znanych słów jak „jeż”, „jadalnia” czy „iść”? Dezorientacja! Słowa „Ukraina” i „Kijów”, które oznaczają ważne nazwy naszego kraju i stolicy, zawierają również literę „ji”. Raz nawet próbowali zakazać tego. Ale przeżyła i osiedliła się w alfabecie ukraińskim.
