Focusing on the often-overlooked perspective of first-generation learners, this study explores the factors influencing higher education participation in India. It challenges traditional views of educational inequality, emphasizing the distinct experiences of first-generation students compared to their peers. By examining various influences on students' decisions to pursue higher education, the research aims to inform institutional leaders and policymakers. This investigation addresses a significant gap in understanding educational inequality within the Indian context, highlighting the need for further exploration in this area.

The book identifies the performance challenges concerning Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and analyzes their impact on the performance of routing protocols. It presents a thorough literature survey to identify the issues affecting routing protocol performance, as well as a mathematical model for calculating the end-to-end delays of the routing protocol ACQUIRE; a comparison of two routing protocols (ACQUIRE and DIRECTED DIFFUSION) is also provided for evaluation purposes. On the basis of the results and literature review, recommendations are made for better selection of protocols regarding the nature of the respective application and related challenges. In addition, this book covers a proposed simulator that integrates both RFID and WSN technologies. Therefore, the manuscript is divided in two major an integrated architecture of smart nodes, and a power-optimized protocol for query and information interchange.

Die Untersuchung beleuchtet die Bildungsungleichheit aus der Perspektive von Erstgeneration-Lernenden und thematisiert die oft vernachlässigten Faktoren, die deren Teilnahme an Hochschulbildung beeinflussen. Im indischen Kontext wird der Einfluss des Generationenstatus auf die Bildungsentscheidungen von Studierenden analysiert. Ziel ist es, institutionellen Führungskräften und politischen Entscheidungsträgern wertvolle Erkenntnisse zu liefern, um die Herausforderungen und Chancen für erste und zweite Generationen besser zu verstehen. Diese Forschung füllt eine wichtige Lücke in einem bisher unerforschten Bereich.

Investiga fatores que influenciam suas decisões, oferecendo insights valiosos a líderes institucionais e formuladores de políticas, em uma área ainda pouco explorada na pesquisa educacional.
