Robert McLellan was een Schotse dramaturge, dichter en prozaschrijver, die voornamelijk in de Schotse taal werkte. Hij droeg ook bij aan dramatische verzen en wordt geprezen om zijn Linmill-verhalen, die gelden als belangrijke voorbeelden van Schotse proza uit de twintigste eeuw.
