M. P. Verneuil

    Maurice Pillard Verneuil was een Franse kunstenaar en decorateur wiens werk de overgang van Art Nouveau naar Art Deco markeerde. Zijn creaties waren geïnspireerd door Japanse kunst en de natuur, met name maritieme thema's. Hij staat bekend om zijn gedurfde, florale ontwerpen in keramische tegels, behang en meubelsitextiel. Verneuil's latere werken evolueerden naar geprezen geometrische patronen, en zijn affichagebiedde werd erkend naast dat van andere vooraanstaande kunstenaars uit zijn tijd.
