Ludified provides an in-depth exploration of the artistic research project "GAPPP - Gamified Audiovisual Performance and Performance Practice," conducted at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics, University of Music and Performing Arts Graz from 2016-2020. This initiative involved a team of artists and researchers investigating the artistic possibilities of computer game elements within audiovisual composition and performance. The analysis of nearly twenty artistic works generated during the project has yielded numerous insights, presented both textually and aesthetically. The book features contributions from the core team—Marko Ciciliani, Barbara Lüenburg, and Andreas Pirchner—as well as texts, images, and sketches from guest collaborators. An integrated USB stick offers high-quality documentation of key audiovisual works relevant to the project. The inclusion of numerous illustrations and augmented reality elements enhances the aesthetic experience while illustrating the creative and research processes involved. Divided into two main sections, the first introduces the project and contrasts various methodological research approaches with works by different artists. The second section focuses exclusively on Marko Ciciliani, the project's lead, highlighting his newly created audiovisual compositions that played a crucial role in shaping the research's focal points.
