Exploring the intersection of education and cultural engagement, the author reflects on his experiences with the Youth and Adult Education Programme at UFRJ. The initiative aimed to dismantle barriers to literacy and education, incorporating cultural activities into the curriculum. This work highlights the importance of holistic educational approaches that extend beyond basic literacy, emphasizing the transformative power of cultural involvement in learning.
