The study investigates domestic violence among individuals aged 50 and above living with HIV, utilizing a descriptive cross-sectional survey that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. Primary data was sourced from patients at CoU Mukono hospital and key informants, while secondary data was drawn from hospital records. Domestic violence was assessed using the HITS scale, identifying predictors such as socioeconomic factors and alcohol abuse. The findings emphasize the need for interventions to reduce alcohol consumption, which is linked to domestic violence and impacts treatment adherence.
