The rapid urbanization of Angola, driven by a significant rural exodus and demographic pressures, is exemplified in its capital, Luanda, which houses a quarter of the nation's population. Following the end of the civil war in 2002, the government prioritized housing development, launching a public policy aimed at constructing 1 million housing units by 2015. This ambitious initiative highlights the challenges and opportunities presented by Angola's growth, as urban areas struggle to accommodate the influx of residents amidst a backdrop of economic transformation and social change.

Angola erlebt eine rasante Urbanisierung mit einer jährlichen Wachstumsrate von etwa 5 %. 62 % der 27 Millionen Einwohner leben in Städten, insbesondere in Luanda.
