Focusing on the socio-economic impacts of drought in Yabello woredas, this study reveals significant effects on pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in Southern Ethiopia. Key areas such as livestock, crop production, income, grazing land, and water sources have been severely impacted. Despite the implementation of various coping strategies, the community's resilience is diminishing under the ongoing drought conditions. The study highlights the urgent need to enhance the coping capacity of these communities to better withstand future drought challenges.

Este estudio analiza los efectos socioeconómicos de las sequías en Yabello, Etiopía, destacando que más del 95% de los encuestados considera que la mortalidad del ganado es uno de los principales activos perjudicados. También se evalúan estrategias para enfrentar este desastre natural.
