The aging king of Chimera, Ferdinand, wishes to name Princess Jasmine as "Queen in Waiting" but he finds opposition in his own court. There are a few that openly question her ability. To prove her worthy to rule, Ferdinand entrusts Jasmine with Chimera's greatest treasure, Queen Vashti's Crown. Jasmine is to keep it in her trust until her coronation day but then it is stolen.
