Isabel Porter was returning to the small, quaint, Southern city she once had called home. Why had she pitched the idea to her magazine editor to write a piece on "Life In The Deep South?" Little did she know her editor would ask her to come back and live here for a year. She wanted someone to write about the everyday lives of the people, traditions and events that take place in the Deep South in a given year. It was too big of a paycheck to turn down. Yet, coming back home brought mixed emotions, both good and bad. Could her heart handle another chapter from this town?
