His latest Novel, The Midshipman, departs from his usual subject matter and provides a fictional story based on the early lives of some of Britain's young and spoiled children of England's Aristocracy. The easiest solution for handling their problem boys was to enroll them in the services of the Navy as a disciplinary measure and a start of a naval career. It deals with the lives of the young midshipmen employed in the Navy in the early eighteen hundreds and their extraordinary and amazing exploits.
