Renowned racecar driver Josh Taggart hopes to turn around his bad luck at a charity race near his Illinois hometown. However, his life spirals into chaos after he unknowingly destroys a cocaine shipment hidden in his car's radiator, leading to threats from drug lords demanding compensation for their lost investment. Meanwhile, Peoria City Police Officer Skip Montez and County Sheriff's Detective Nick Rasso are undercover at the track, investigating a missing teen when they stumble upon a drug deal gone wrong and a critically injured boy. Taggart realizes the connection to the boy's injury but must focus on the race. In the hospital, he receives a threatening note about his mother’s kidnapping if he doesn’t pay for the cocaine. The money for the shipment was taken from St. Mary's Cathedral by a corrupt priest, and Taggart must replace it before the head priest returns. As he secures his mother’s safety, he becomes romantically involved with family friend Ashley James, who is soon kidnapped. The drug lord's daughter, Crystal Galena, seeks revenge and is aided by the corrupt priest, Father Dini. Taggart races against time to rescue Ashley from the clutches of danger, vowing to do whatever it takes to win this deadly race against evil.
